Naval Architect – Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering has an opening for a dynamic Experienced Naval Architect/Engineer in our Construction Engineering Services (CES) Group, to support our fleet of over 55 large construction vessels. The ideal candidate will be a part of a growing team that supports all aspects of the construction process by performing innovative design engineering through brainstorming conceptual designs, performing and/or reviewing structural calculations, developing plans, scheduling tasks to meet client needs, as well as mitigating risk to keep our construction crews safe. Kiewit has the premier marine construction fleet in North America and intends to keep it that way through the modernization of our existing vessels, and construction of new vessels. This is an opportunity to be a major part of that effort, working directly with the construction teams.

Assistant Vice President, Ports and Marine Engineering

WSP USA is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Ports and Marine Engineering to join our National Maritime Practice Group. This position can be based out of the following offices: Irvine+San Francisco-CA, Miami-FL, New York City-NY, Portland-OR, Seattle-WA, Houston-TX, Tampa-FL.

Provides subject matter technical support and leadership for the development, design, construction, and or inspection of structures and facilities for port, marine, and intermodal rail terminal projects in the public and private sector; these facilities may include piers, wharves, port and upland marine terminals, seawalls/bulkheads, dry docks, marinas and other nearshore/offshore facilities. Provides situational guidance and leadership, ensuring delivery of work products at a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for design, safety, and functionality.

Rose Cay Maritime is in search of Chief Engineers to add to our growing team. We are looking for experienced Chief Engineers for our Gulf and Northeast Fleets! Responsibilities

Head of the Engineering Department (reports to the Master).
Ensures vessel is operated in accordance with vessel COI (if applicable) and stability letter; and all crew fully implement and operate the vessel in compliance with the Company CLASSIFICATION SOCIETY approved TSMS.
Reports all deficiencies to equipment or the vessel, observations of safety hazards and TSMS non-conformities to the OICNW or Master.
Ensures maintenance and inspections required by the PM or the Master are completed. Maintain records of maintenance and inspections in the PM. Report any instance an inspection or maintenance activity cannot be completed to Master.
Ensures that the Assistant Engineer is adequately familiarized to perform his duties.
Ensures that records of maintenance are maintained within the PM.
Report machinery deficiencies and repair requests to the Master and Marine Superintendent.
Request engine room spares/stores.
Inventories spare parts, recording same on the Major Spare Parts Inventory Form and in the PM.
Identifies and remedies (if possible) defects in the vessel’s machinery/systems.
Designated Person in Charge (PIC) for fuel transfers and bunkering.
Communicates the status of machinery and systems prior to taking leave.
