Job Description AECOM is seeking a Maritime / Waterfront Structural Engineer who is excited by the prospect of working on a wide variety of projects across our East Region Marine group based out of New York City, NY. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
    • Undertaking design and planning activities for structural design of maritime/waterfront projects including container terminals, mining/bulk, oil/gas, marinas, ports and harbors, offshore wind, coastal resiliency and development schemes.
    • Undertaking design and planning activities for structural design of new buildings and rehabilitation of existing buildings.
    • Independently prepare calculations, drawings, and specifications and documents, and assist in oversight of the development of technical deliverables prepared by junior structural engineers.
    • Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
    • Participate in the development of technical scope and design fee estimates in response to RFP’s.
    • Coordinate with other in-house and subconsultant engineering disciplines as needed. Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
    • Perform condition assessments and site visits as needed.
    • Occasional short to medium term site visits may also become necessary depending on project requirements.
    • Work alongside a technical lead and project manager to ensure technical and business-related successes of projects.
Qualifications Minimum Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering plus four (4) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
    • Professional Engineer License (PE)
Preferred Qualifications:
    • Proficiency in the following: AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000, Bentley RAM Suite, Tedds, Enercalc, MathCAD, Hilti Profis, Bluebeam, STAAD.pro, LPILE
    • Experience with marine and waterfront structures
    • Experience with vertical building structures
    • Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineerin

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $90,000.00 – $140,000.00.
