Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, highly organized, and resourceful professional to join our team as a Voyage Planning Coordinator. This role involves charting, planning, and managing all aspects of our vessel voyage planning program and operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving abilities, technical expertise in relevant software, and the ability to work collaboratively with the team. Additionally, he/she must demonstrate excellent follow through and project ownership through all stages of the planning and operations cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed and effective Cable Recovery Plans (CRPs), using advanced charting and planning software.

• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for new cable recovery projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.

• Prepare and organize precise technical documentation for each vessel voyage, including CRPs, Route Positioning Lists (RPLs), and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

• Manage notifications to governmental organizations for access into Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZs) and liaise with the International Cable Protection Committee (ICPC).

• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date understanding of the company’s growing submarine cable inventory.

• Support the sales team in assessing the recoverability of new cables, including research into out-of-service cables suitable for acquisition.

• Collaborate with the finance team to develop voyage budgets and analyze cable types and potential material yields.

• Oversee ongoing voyages (CRO), ensuring ships remain on schedule and within budget, and provide regular updates to the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.

• 3+ years of experience in project planning within the marine or subsea telecom industry.

• Proficiency in charting software (e.g., QGIS, Google Earth, GeoCable).

• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with Monday.com

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and budgets while meeting deadlines.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
