The Global Submarine Networks (GSN) team plans, builds and operates the subsea backbone network used by Google to provide our products and services. This international team collaborates with internal stakeholders and an array of suppliers to create construction agreements, oversee the delivery of each cable system, then operate and maintain that infrastructure for high reliability and security.
The Cable Build team is a specialized group within GSN responsible for cable system construction. This team blends skills from marine construction, fiber-optic networking, project management and contract negotiation to deliver this core infrastructure.

We are seeking a Marine / Coastal Engineer with 5-10 years of professional experience to support a diverse portfolio of environmental, engineering, and construction management projects throughout the New York City metropolitan area. The successful candidate will work on complex waterfront, coastal resiliency, and marine infrastructure projects, collaborating closely with environmental specialists, engineers, and construction management professionals.
The Business Process Specialist supports APM Terminal Elizabeth’s modernization program by designing, documenting, and validating future-state processes that enable operational excellence. Acting as a key link between strategy and execution, this role ensures that process mapping, governance, and change impact assessments are delivered accurately and on time. The position is critical for embedding process discipline and creating a robust Business Process Manual that guides the organization through transformation.
The position will be responsible for facilitating a close working relationship and flow of communication with other departments in JFK, across the US and abroad. In addition, he/she is responsible for driving proper interaction with US CBP and other regulatory agencies, customs brokers, other vendors, customer service and at times directly with the Customer, and developing and maintaining key relationships with airlines and cargo handlers. This is a full-time, on-site Import Specialist role located in Hoboken, NJ. The Import Specialist will oversee and coordinate import activities, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. Daily responsibilities include managing shipment documentation, liaising with shipping agents and customers, and monitoring the processing of goods from origin to destination. The role requires collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective transport solutions while upholding the company’s high service standards.
You are responsible for a portfolio of transactions for which you execute amendments, extensions, credit reviews and are responsible for internal reporting. Next to a focus on Shipping you will also cover Object Finance transactions for Real Estate, Transportation and Logistics.
You will support the Marine North America team by managing a more complex book of business in the large middle market and global account space. Will assist the practice in hitting its new revenue targets through development of the pipeline and participating in RFP’s. The individual will also be responsible for client-related documentation including but not limited to policies, endorsements, quote comparisons and required compliance forms. All functions should be performed collaboratively with the greater team.
Primary Duties
Manage and develop existing customer relationships (CP) with the purpose to protect and expand business with these customers.
Develop new customer relationships by own sales to sell the combined NX and CP networks capabilities on Trans-Atlantic trade.
Develop internal relationships within the network in East Region and EMEA for promoting joint 2-way sales to capture both import and export segments.
Responsible for securing and managing new customer business in all segments – Air, Ocean, Warehousing/Distribution, Truck
Responsible for developing strong C-Level relationships with Target Customers
Provide expertise in the assigned area to share with other members.
Assigned quarterly and annual Revenue/Operating Profit targets to include overall territory target and individual account targets.
Responsible for managing a target customer list for own sales.
Ability to analyze target customers entire Supply Chain and create a supply chain mapping to determine actual target business from OEM Manufacturers and suppliers/contract manufacturers.
Ability to conduct strategic sales initiatives within assigned Area.
Position has 100% Revenue / Operating Profit responsibility.
Establish clear understanding of all services and capabilities of NX/CO in the related trade.
