We are seeking a Dredging Inspector to support NJDOT Office of Maritime Resources’ dredging and marine construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and at least three years of dredging or maritime construction inspection experience, with proven ability to monitor contractor operations for compliance with federal, state, and environmental regulations. Responsibilities will include daily field inspection of dredging operations, contractor oversight, production and compliance documentation, and coordination with project engineers and regulatory agencies. Candidates with experience in confined disposal facilities (CDFs), GeoTube laydown areas, beach nourishment, wetland delineations, and NJDEP/FEMA compliance reporting are strongly preferred. We are looking for a dependable professional with strong technical writing skills, field leadership, and the ability to represent client interests on-site while ensuring safety, quality, and environmental stewardship.
Reporting to the Head of North America Marine, this role will be primarily responsible to execute the North American underwriting strategy for Marine Hull and Liability. In addition, the position is responsible for attracting, managing and developing a team of highly accomplished, driven colleagues.
