The Senior Operations Manager is accountable for leading approximately 10 Underwriting Support Operations Staff, supporting our Global Specialty Ocean Marine business partners who are in various regional offices across the country. Accountabilities include effectively supporting and driving business results by leveraging key operational data to deliver on organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collaborating with and influencing business partners to work across functional and organizational lines to understand the end-to-end customer experience and facilitating a high-performance culture by aligning individual goals, differentiating performance through evaluation and recognition, and managing performance improvement issues swiftly and appropriately. The individual must also partner closely with Underwriting Partners/leadership space to assure business objectives are met.
The Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for processing and managing all accounts payable transactions in a timely and accurate manner. This role ensures that vendor invoices are properly reviewed, approved, coded, and paid while maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
We are a small, highly technical firm seeking a Private Cloud Administrator to take primary ownership of our private cloud environment and infrastructure operations. This is a hands-on role for someone comfortable owning the full lifecycle of a private cloud platform, from virtualization and compute provisioning to automation, monitoring, and capacity planning, while partnering with a Managed Service Provider (MSP) for physical operations and after-hours coverage.
The primary duties of the New York/New Jersey Maritime Market Sector Lead include:
- Plan, direct and monitor multi-discipline projects related to heavy industrial seaport, private cargo and passenger terminals and other waterfront infrastructure.
- Demonstrate extensive experience in local maritime and waterfront infrastructure projects.
- Serve as liaison with local maritime terminal owners and operators in the development and delivery of their respective programs.
- Provide oversight and coordination of several projects concurrently.
- Contribute to design and production efforts for design development and contract document work in conjunction with Project Managers, appropriate technical professionals and other disciplines.
- Ensure project deliverables and supporting documentation are complete, understandable, and conform to applicable industry standards relative to their intended purpose, including client and HDR requirements.
- Participate in business class strategic planning, budgeting and plan implementation.
- Collaborate on business class efforts with area operations, marketing and project management.
- Oversee and/or serve as a lead technical or problem-solving role in maritime projects.
- Being comfortable being viewed as a leader on these types of projects to participate in business class practice and professional discipline groups, project teams, and activities to continuously improve standards and best practices and implement effective quality assurance and quality control reviews.
- Serve in a capacity of managing, supporting or leading major pursuits.
- Responsible for implementing QA/QC procedures and completing reviews of complex projects.
- Ensure that emerging technologies are being implemented and that HDR is continually advancing Maritime and Waterfront Infrastructure design capabilities.

This position supports the coordination of international and national shipping, ensuring quality control of outgoing shipments and managing inventory for productions. The applicant must possess knowledge of inventory control, domestic and import/export documentation, and scheduling of truckload, sea, air, and/or shipments. Additionally, the role involves preparing freight quotes, bills of landing, and handling claims. Familiarity with quality control processes is a plus.
